Radiation Safety is used to track the licenses, users, and purchases within an organization of Radioactive Materials.
Instructions
To access Radiation Safety:
From the Salute Portal landing page, select Radiation Safety from the Programs modules

From the Radiation Safety landing page, you will see three options:

Licenses
Licenses provide institutional record keeping for licenses issued by regulatory authorities for purchasing, storing, and using radioactive materials.
Instructions
To access Licenses:
Select Licenses from the Radiation Safety landing page

From the Licences landing page, you will be able to:

Select an individual item to see detailed information

Filter the list by selecting a column header (can do multiple filters) to see a select list of items

Create a new License

When an item is selected, you will be able to see specific information related to that License

License ID (Salute provide)
-
License Number (Issued by agency)
-
Description (e.g., Human use)
-
Institution (if specific to a group within the organization)
-
Address
-
Issue/Expiry dates
-
Attachments: Can upload the detailed permit

In addition to the overview information, there are two tabs at the bottom that allow users to manage the License Items and Authorized Users

License Items

Add the specific isotope information associated with a license, including maximum activity

To add an item, select “+New License Item” where you will be redirected to add specific item details

Authorized Users

Displays a list of the users that have authorized for usage of Radioactive materials under specific license items

Authorized Users
Authorized Users provide institutional records of who is allowed to purchase, store, and use radioactive materials within the organization.

To access Authorized Users:
Select Authorized Users from the Radiation Safety landing page

From the Authorized User landing page, you will be able to:

Select an individual item to see detailed information

Filter the list by selecting a column header (can do multiple filters) to see a select list of items

Create a new Authorized User
When an item is selected, you will be able to see specific information related to that User, including:

User ID information (from the system of record, cannot be edited)
-
Approval Date
-
Authorized User (AU) Global Status
-
License Items- Can view/remove/add new license items

RadMat Purchases
Purchases are used to track institutional purchases of Radioactive Material.

To access Purchases:
Select Purchases from the Radiation Safety landing page

From the Purchases landing page, you will be able to:

Select an individual item to see detailed information

Filter the list by selecting a column header (can do multiple filters) to see a select list of items

Create a new Purchase

When an item is selected, you will be able to see specific information related to that Purchase, including:
